BY PLANE

  • Istanbul currently has two airports: Istanbul Atatürk Airport (IST), on the European side, is the city's main international airport, and Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW), on the Asian side, is a newer international airport.

    Ataturk Airport airport is located around 24 km (15 mi) west of the city centre. We recommend flying to this airport as it is a little closer to the hotel, and receives more direct flights from many more destinations in Europe, operated by a number of different airlines.

    Sabiha Gökçen Airport, is located around 35 km (22 mi) southeast of the city centre. It also receives a number of flights from cities across Europe, mostly operated by Turkish Airlines and Turkey's low cost Pegasus Airlines.
