The famous Lake Como, also known as Lago Lario, stretches out for 120 kilometres against the backdrop of the imposing, snow-capped Rhaetian Alps. Scattered upon its jagged V shaped shoreline, are quaint villages and towns. It is here on the lapping lake front shores of Mandello that we find Villa Lario Resort Mandello. This charming historical residence, built in the early 20th century, is nestled within over ten thousand square meters of green space. With tasteful Italian design, fine cuisine, and beautiful panoramic views, luxury awaits at this beautiful resort.

  • Sentiero del Viandante, an ancient pathway that runs for 45 kilometres along the east coast. Although the full trail should be broken into three stages, it is possible to walk only a small portion of it.

  • A boat cruise, which is one of the best ways to see Lake Como and surrounding area. You can take the public boat service provided by Navigazione Lago di Como or enjoy a private tour directly from Villa Lario Resort's private dock.

The Villa Lario Mandello Resort enjoys an unparalleled position just 70m from du Lake Como and 1.8 kilometers from Moto Guzzi Motorcycle Factory Museum.

BY PLANE

  • Milan is served mainly by Milan-Malpensa Airport (MXP), located around 40 km / 25 mi northwest of Milan city centre, and around 60 km / 36 mi southwest of the hotel. The airport is fairly well served internationally, with many airlines operating flights from most capitals and many other large cities across Europe. It also serves a major base for EasyJet, which operate flights from a number of destinations.

    Milan's secondary airport, Linate Airport (LIN), is located just 7 km (4 mi) east of the city centre. It is not as well-served as Milan-Malpensa, however it does receive flights from across Europe and serves as a base for Alitalia.

    Orio al Serio International Airport (BGY), also known as Il Caravaggio International Airport (and unofficially as Milan-Bergamo Airport) is located 3.7 km / 2.3 mi south of Bergamo. This airport is less well served than Milan-Malpensa, however, it does receive a receive a number of flights from across Europe, notably with Ryanair.

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL

  • - By airport transfer:
    In terms of convenience, the airport transfer offer from the hotel is excellent and our recommended choice, especially as you can request a transfer from whichever Milanese airport is most convenient for you!

    - By car: Leaving Milan you want to head north on the A8 and the A9/E35 and follow signs for Como/Chiasso. After following the E9 for 20km, take the "Como Centro" exit and follow signs for the SP583 towards Pognana Lario and then follow signs for Via Alessandro Manzoni/Cernobbio/Bellagio. Stay on Via Torno/SP583 for around 11km until you see the hotel on your right.
