The Viva Wyndham Tangerine **** All Inclusive is located on a beach by the Atlantic Ocean around 13 km from the Mundo King Art Museum and 8 km from Sosua beach. The Kaiceitos Circus and Kite Beach are also both 2 km from the hotel.
BY PLANE
Las Américas International Airport (SDQ), located near Santo Domingo is the closest international airport. It receives flights from the European cities of Madrid, Frankfurt and Munich, as such guests flying from elsewhere in Europe will need to book an indirect flight, with a lay over in one of the aforementioned cities.
Alternatively, a much closer airport is Cibao International Airport (STI), also known as Santiago Airport.
Please note that all flights to the Dominican Republic which stop in the United States will require an ESTA visa on arrival in the USA.
HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL
From Cibao International Airport:
- By taxi: A taxi journey to the hotel will last just over an hour and 6 minutes, costing between $130-$160.
From Las Americas International Airport:
- By transfer: Although the hotel does not offer a private transfer, as the hotel is over 3 hours away a taxi is not an economically viable option and we would recommend sourcing a transfer service with a private company.
VISA
Citizens or residents of the United Kingdom, United States, Canada or any European Union, and number of other countries, do not require a visa to enter the Dominican Republic. A Tourist Card will have to be purchased however, either at the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Dominican Republic, or directly at the airport on arrival for $10 (USD) or equivalent.
Please note, if you are flying via the United States, you will require an ESTA Visa, although British citizens are eligible for the Visa Waiver Program (VWP).
From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and French bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
