BY PLANE
Milan is served mainly by Milan-Malpensa Airport (MXP), located around 40 km / 25 mi northwest of Milan city centre. The airport is fairly well served internationally, with many airlines operating flights from most capitals and many other large cities across Europe. It also serves a major base for EasyJet, which operate flights from a number of destinations.
Milan's secondary airport, Linate Airport (LIN), is located just 7 km (4 mi) east of the city centre. It is not as well-served as Milan-Malpensa, however it does receive flights from across Europe and serves as a base for Alitalia.
Orio al Serio International Airport (BGY), also known as Il Caravaggio International Airport (and unofficially as Milan-Bergamo Airport) is located 3.7 km / 2.3 mi south of Bergamo. This airport is less well served than Milan-Malpensa, however, it does receive a receive a number of flights from across Europe, notably with Ryanair.
HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL
From Milan Malpensa Airport:
- By taxi: The hotel being around 45 minutes away, a taxi is not especially cheap but very convenient, costing around 85€ per trip.
- By car: As you leave the airport take the Aeroporto/Como/Chiasso/Milano/Varese/Gravellona T./Busto Arsizio on the Strada Statale 336, and continue for 14km. Slight left to merge onto the A8 and stay here for around 5km until you see signs to join the A4/E64 towards Venezia/Milano. Exit for Cavenago-Cambiago. Continue on the SP176 and you will find your destination on the right.
From Milan Bergamo:
- By taxi: The hotel is a 20 minute drive away making this a cheaper option than Milan Malpensa, and costs around 55€ per trip.
- By car: As you leave the airport take the SS671 and exit onto the SP116. Take the A4/E64 along Via Santa Maria to Cambiago. Take the exit for Cavenago-Cambiago and continue on the SP176 until you reach your destination on the right.
From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and French bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
