Malta was never top of my list for Mediterranean island destinations, and now, having been there, I simply can’t think why; an enchanting island right in the middle of the Mediterranean, between Sicily and the African coast - it doesn’t get any more paradisiacal! We finally discovered this gem, just over three hours from London, where English is the second official language, and instantly fell head over heels; and the Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay*****, a luxurious gem of the hotel world, made our stay even more unforgettable!

  • Imgiebah Bay - for unblemished golden sand and calm brilliant blue water, take a trip to Imgiebah Bay. It’s quite a long road to get there and there are no facilities on the beach, hence few tourists, but it remains one of the most lovely, secluded beaches you could find anywhere, but let’s keep it our little secret!
