The Grand Hotel Roi René Aix in Provence Center MGallery **** is located just a stone's throw from the Cours Mirabeau and surrounding historical centre of Aix-en-Provence, in the South of France.
BY PLANE
Marseille-Provence Airport (MRS) is located around 26 km / 16 mi (24 minutes') drive from the hotel. It is fairly well-served with both seasonal and regular year-round flights from a number of major cities across Europe, including the UK, along with elsewhere in France.
From the airport to the hotel:
• Taxi: the journey takes around 30 minutes to reach the hotel.
• Bus: the airport shuttle bus leaves the airport every 30 minutes to the Gare Routiere (main bus station) in Aix. From there, take the no. 5 bus to Roi Rene (around 50 minutes total journey time).
BY TRAIN
Aix-en-Provence TGV is the city's high-speed train station, is located around 15 minutes drive to the south of Aix (and should not to be confused with Aix station in the city centre, which only receives local trains). From the UK is it possible to book via Eurostar, otherwise Thalys or TGV operate from other neighbouring counties and elsewhere in France.
From the TGV station to the hotel:
• Taxi: the journey takes around 15-20 minutes to reach the hotel.
• Bus: the airport shuttle bus which operates every 30 minutes or so to Gare Routiere (main bus station) in Aix, stops at the TGV station along the way. From the take the no. 5 bus to Roi Rene (around 35 minutes total journey time).
From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and French bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
