Marseille, France’s second largest city, flaunts a bohemian atmosphere that thrives alongside its rich history. Once a prominent port city, Marseille drew in immigrants from all over Europe, and thanks to this now radiates a magnetic multi-culturalism. An amalgamation of diverse modernity and timeless history, the Old Port is the city’s central hub, and it is here we find the Sofitel Marseille Vieux-Port. A stunning hotel commanding breath-taking views, it could not be in a better location; whilst boasting delicious fine dining, marine-inspired rooms, an outdoor pool and revitalising spa, it is holiday heaven!

  • Marseille-Provence Airport (MRS) is located about 27 km / 17 mi northwest of Marseille, and around 25 km / 15.5 mi (21 minutes') drive from the hotel.

    It is fairly well-served with both seasonal and regular year-round flights from a number of major cities across Europe, including the UK, along with elsewhere in France.

    • Taxi: the journey takes around 20 minutes to reach the hotel.

    • Bus: the airport shuttle bus and takes around 30 minute to Saint Charles railway station in Marseille, there you can change for the M1 metro to Vieux-Port.

BY TRAIN

  • Gare de Marseille Saint-Charles, located in the city centre, is the main railway station for Marseille. The station is served by France's high-speed train services and it is therefore possible to reach Marseille by train rapidly from a number of neighbouring countries as well as elsewhere in France.
