Oasis Resorts – Oasis Les Jardins des Sables d’Olonne

Les Jardins des Sables d'Olonne impressed us both from the outset; not an easy feat. I was amazed by the modern, stylish exterior of the impressive avant-garde complex, whilst my husband’s face lit up like an excited child when he glimpsed the glistening Atlantic Ocean, just steps away down a winding sandy path.

First: the relaxing. I was so craving a break to de-stress and unwind, and the hotel more than delivered. Our modern and spacious room exuded a sense of contemporary comfort and was perfectly equipped with amenities such as Wi-Fi and a flat screen television, ideal for some down time. Our balcony looked onto the dazzling outdoor pool: we were lucky enough that the sun shone, and I regularly enjoyed some refreshing dips in the cool blue water. But I had my heart set on some more intense pampering in the hotel spa. Home to a luxurious sauna and hammam, as well as a heated indoor pool with a waterfall and massage jets, these top-quality facilities meant I was going to return home a new woman!

My husband, on the other hand, couldn’t wait to get stuck into the plethora of activities. The hotel offered abundant sources of entertainment, including volleyball and squash courts, table tennis, bowling and bike hire to explore the beauty of the surrounding countryside. But there was at least one thing that we could both agree on: the delicious sea-inspired cuisine served up at the Le Plaisance restaurant, which included a divine weekly seafood buffet.

Over the years, we’d learnt to agree to disagree when it came to our style of holiday, but here at the Les Jardins de l’Atlantique, neither one of us had to compromise: it has everything you need for an action-packed or peaceful holiday, all amongst in the beautiful nature of Vendée.
