Aparthotel Adagio Caen Centre ★★★★

Stylish studio living in the heart of the Caen.

By Louise Jackson, VeryChic correspondent
The charming city of Caen is characterised by the quaint delights of its picturesque 11th-century castle and Gothic abbey, featuring towering, ornate spires that dominate its skyline. These treasures from times gone by become even more precious when the recent history of Caen is considered, as almost 80 percent of the city was destroyed during the 1944 Battle of Normandy. Founded by William the Conqueror, the city has a varied past to uncover. Discover your ideal pied-à-terre from which to explore the city at Aparthotel Adagio Caen Centre ****.

BY PLANE

  • Caen-Carpiquet Airport (CFR), is located 6km / 3.7 mi to the west of Caen city centre. This airport receives relatively few direct flights, however it is possible to find seasonal flights from London Southend Airport with Flybe and also Lyon & Nice with  Air France/Hop!

Deauville – Normandie Airport (DOL), is situated 7 km / 4 mi east of Deauville, around 40 minutes' drive northwest of the hotel. It is also little served, however Ryanair operate flights from London-Stansted.

Rennes–Saint-Jacques Airport (RNS) is another small airport, located about 6 km / 3.7 mi southwest of Rennes, around 2 hours' drive to the southwest of the hotel.

Flybe offer regular flights from London Southend and Southampton, along with seasonal flights from Birmingham, Exeter, London-City and Manchester. Meanwhile, Air Lingus fly seasonally from Dublin and Cork, and Air France operate regular flights from Amsterdam as well as other cities in France. Vueling also operate regular flights from London-Gatwick and Barcelona, and seasonal flights from Mallorca and Rome-Fiumicino.
