Known as the ‘Blue Zone’, where the average person lives longer than expected, it is no wonder a stay in Sardinia is the ideal holiday for truly unwinding and relaxing. White sandy beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters surround the small Italian island. Found amongst these coves and beaches on the Southern coast is Almar Timi Ama Resort & Spa *****. Part of the Pullman Hotels and Resorts collection, this hotel fails to disappoint. With its classic yet timeless rooms, stunning Thalasso spa, gorgeous beaches and 7 restaurants and bars, it is the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy the Mediterranean sun.
Less than an hour from the capital Cagliari, Pullman Timi Ama is situated on the Capo Carbonara, a blue-water haven of unspoiled beauty, exhibiting some of Sardinia’s wonderful flora and fauna. With spectacular views of the beach and pool, there is no where more relaxing and more fitting for that perfect beach get-away.
Upon entering the hotel’s reception, the distinctive modern and chic design displayed indoor plants alongside the bright and bold colours of the furniture. The staff were kind and generous, whisking me straight up to my room so I could relax and explore the hotel and all its grounds. The balcony looked out onto the garden, the flowers and palm trees mimicking the same vibrant and bright colours of the reception. With so many things to explore, I took myself off to the spa.
The tranquillity and luxurious nature immediately swept me away. With plenty of treatments available, from massages to Algotherapy or simply swimming in the Sensory Wellness Area, the spa is a dream come true for those who wish to fully unwind. Lying by the outdoor pool in the afternoon, with views over the sea was spectacular. You can order cocktails or coffees (depending on the time of day) from the Mov’ita Pool Bar or enjoy the elegant and romantic atmosphere at I Ginepri restaurant which serves a whole host of Mediterranean dishes.
An appreciation for the environment and biodiversity of this island can be understood simply by staying at the Pullman Almar Timi Ama Resort & Spa *****. The nearest international airport is Cagliari Elmas Airport (CAG), located in the territory of Elmas, near Cagliari and aroung 64 km from the hotel (a little over 1 hours' drive).
The airport is fairly well served with flights from a variety of European countries, however, most flights to this airport are seasonal. Ryanair provide a number of regular year-round flights from various destinations, and Alitalia operate year-round direct flights from Rome and Milan, you may choose to fly indirect via one of those cities.We recommend renting a car in order to reach the hotel from the airport and get around during your stay, otherwise you may also take a taxi from the airport.
