The SO/ Vienna ***** is located in the Leopoldstadt district in the heart of the Austrian capital, in the country’s east on the Danube River.

BY PLANE

  • Vienna is served by Vienna International Airport (VIE), located in Schwechat, around 18 km / 11 mi south-east of central Vienna. The airport receives a large number of flights from across Europe, and in particular acts as a hub for Austrian Airlines, and base for Eurowings and Niki.

    To the hotel:

    • Train: the City Airport Train (CAT) and S7 express both operate to Wien Mitte station in the city centre. Meanwhile, regular train services also operate to Wien Hauptbahnhof (Vienna Central Station).
    • Bus: although slower than the train services, a number of bus options are available from the airport to various points of the city.
    • Taxi: readily available just outside the arrivals hall, the journey to the city centre should take around 20-30 minutes.
