The island of Patmos has no airport - while this makes getting there a little harder than usual, it also ensures that the island remains a tranquil haven and a perfect escape!
The closest airports (by order of increasing distance):
Samos International Airport on the isle of Samos,
Kos International Airport on the isle of Kos and finally
Rhodes International Airport on the isle of Rhodes. (One can also fly into Athens, though it’s much further). Patmos is reachable from all of these via hydrofoil and/or ferry; please note, schedules and routes change regularly. A good site (usually up to date) to get an idea for routes and times is
Greek Travel Pages.
