PLANE

  • New York is currently served by two main international airports: John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), located around 12 mi (20 km) southeast of Lower Manhattan, and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), located around 15 mi (24 km) southwest of Midtown Manhattan, in New Jersey.

Between them they receive international flights from a large number of airlines and destinations, including from most capitals and many large cities across Europe.

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORTS TO THE HOTEL

  • From JFK International Airport:

    - By taxi: A comfortable although not very economical solution. Be sure to take a real, licensed taxi (choose one from the designated taxi rank at the airport). It costs about $50, plus any tolls on the way and the tip (15 %); all in all, the total is usually around $70.

    - By train: First take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station. From there, either take the subway J train to Bowery Station, or the Far Rockaway train to Atlantic Terminal followed by the subway B train to Grand St station.

    From Newark International Airport:

    - By shuttle bus / subway: The Newark Airport Express operates between Newark Airport and Manhattan. Get off at Bryant Park and the subway train B or D to Grand St station.
