Close to the border between France and Spain lies Collioure, a quaint fishing village so charming that an entirely new art movement was created to capture its loveliness. ‘No sky in all France is more blue than that of Collioure’, said Matisse, and so the Fauvist movement was born. From the blue depths of the sea to the bright yellows of lemon trees, Collioure is awash with colour. Towards the centre of town, you’ll find a pretty pale rose building; the wonderful Le Mas des Citronniers.

By plane

    More frequent international flights are available to Girona. Girona–Costa Brava Airport (GRO) is located just south of Girona in Spain and 109 km / 67 mi from the hotel. Ryanair offer year-round & seasonal flights from many cities across Europe, while some other low-cost airlines also operate seasonal flights from certain destinations, such as Thomson Airways from the UK or Transavia from the Netherlands.

BY TRAIN

The train from Paris lasts around 5 hours and for guests travelling from London the entire journey will last around 8 hours.
