Brussels is served by two airports, Brussels National Airport (BRU), located in the neighbouring municipality of Zaventem around 12 km / 7.5 mi northeast of Brussels, and Brussels-South Charleroi Airport (CRL) is located in Gosselies between Brussels and Charleroi around 46 km / 29 mi south of central Brussels.
Brussels National Airport serves as a base for Brussels Airlines, TUIfly Belgium and Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium, and receives flights from most capitals and major cities across Europe.
