Magnificent beaches lined with coconut palms and luxuriant gardens full of hibiscus and bougainvillea make up the charm of Guadeloupe. The hotel is in the beach resort of Gosier, one of three beach resorts in Grand-Terre, most popular for its cafes, waterside restaurants and incredible location. A kilometre away from here, the Creole Beach Hotel and Spa borders on a picture-perfect Caribbean beach, where sun loungers and umbrellas wait patiently on one of the sandy strips stretching into the crystal blue waters.
The rooms have a fresh feel to them, decorated with lots of wood and splashes of tropical colours. It has everything you could need, including a balcony, meaning that your first sight in the morning is the exotic garden extending out into the lagoon. You can then enjoy breakfast in the buffet restaurant, facing the sea. If you’re not headed straight for the beach afterwards, then you might like the enormous swimming pool. There are plenty of water sports on offer, as well as a lovely animation team ready to help you think up more activities if you are stuck. There’s also a well-equipped gym, yet if that sounds too much like hard work, you’ll love the hotel’s Creole Spa. Elegantly decorated with mosaic, it hosts a Turkish bath, a sauna and two cabins for massage or Payot treatments.
In the bar La Rhumerie, your little ones can enjoy alcohol-free cocktails and you can nibble on local specialties. It’s an idyllic place to watch the sun set. Come dinner time, choose between the buffet selection in the Spice Route restaurant or try the Zawag restaurant, known for its great Creole cuisine. After dinner there’s nothing for it but to sit back and enjoy a cocktail in the tropical night and let your cares roll out to sea with the waves.
