Y Lake Como? Why? Famous for its outline of an inverted Y, this is the lake whose beauty tops the charts for picturesque Italian countryside. With the magnificent white-tipped peaks of the Rhaetian Alps as a background, the lake is enclosed by steep wooded slopes, and on its shores are some of Italy’s most delightful towns and villages. Why Hotel Bazzoni?
Because it retains the charm of its original construction at the end of the 19th century, the first hotel to be built in the village of Tremezzo, therefore occupying prime position on the lakeside. And because the light and airy Double Rooms have lovely views over mountains or water and embrace you with the cosy and comfortable, yet elegant simplicity of the era.
Why go sightseeing around Lake Como?
Because George Clooney’s villa is there, as well as one that was the villa owned by Gianni Versace, another belonging to Madonna…but most famous of all, Villa Carlotta, one of the Italian lake’s undeniable treasures, is close by in the village of Tremezzo. This palatial 17th-century mansion has a vast garden showcasing over 500 species of flowers and trees, as well as a masterpiece by the Italian sculptor Canova.
Why dine in the hotel?
The N26 restaurant’s gourmet à la carte service is all the reason you could need. It promises classic Italian cuisine in a fresh and modern setting, with a terrace directly on the lake. But if you wanted more reasons, there are the delicious homemade pasta sauces at the Simply Pasta restaurant by the pool, or the buffet dinner and show kitchen of the first-floor Bazzoni Buffet restaurant.

Milan is served mainly by Milan-Malpensa Airport (MXP), located around 40 km / 25 mi northwest of Milan city centre. The airport is fairly well served internationally, with many airlines operating flights from most capitals and many other large cities across Europe. It also serves a major base for EasyJet, which operate flights from a number of destinations.
Milan's secondary airport, Linate Airport (LIN), is located just 7 km (4 mi) east of the city centre. It is not as well-served as Milan-Malpensa, however it does receive flights from across Europe and serves as a base for Alitalia.
Orio al Serio International Airport (BGY), also known as Il Caravaggio International Airport (and unofficially as Milan-Bergamo Airport) is located 3.7 km / 2.3 mi south of Bergamo. This airport is less well served than Milan-Malpensa, however, it does receive a receive a number of flights from across Europe, notably with Ryanair.
