Water for wandering along
Pollença’s twisting shoreline means that it’s home to 10 incredible beaches, all of which can be reached on foot from the hotel. Walk down to the port via a path that’s shaded by 100-year-old pine and tamarind trees.
Water for watching the boats go by
The local yacht club offers a range of watersports, including windsurfing, snorkelling, diving, fishing and kayaking. Back in your room, you’ll find the Double Rooms offer sea views, and many – as well as the Standard Rooms – have balconies. Rooms reflect the shoreline thanks to their yellow-sand and driftwood-brown neutral colours and sparkling white bathrooms.
Water for a wonderful meal
Waterside dining is available at La Terrassa, which is open for lunch and dinner. This outdoor spot offers brilliant views of the bay and serves delicious local dishes that can be adapted for a range of dietary requirements. Breakfast – from a full fry-up to a Mediterranean buffet – can also be served on the alfresco terrace, while inside Restaurant 1929 serves the same high standard of dishes.
Water for wellness
Having been fully refurbished in 2016, the wellness and spa centre features a sauna, Turkish bath, ice fountain, heated pool with swan neck jets and an integrated whirlpool. In addition, an extended treatment list features beauty and relaxation rituals as well as traditional massages, an osteopathy service and nutritional consultations.
Embracing island life means being acquainted with the water, and that’s exactly what’s on offer at Hôtel Illa d'Or Wellness & Spa ****.
