Why do so many dream of holidaying on an island? The Excellence El Carmen ***** - All Inclusive is located near Higuey, just 25 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport.

BY PLANE

  • The closest airport is Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), located alongside Punta Cana village, around 25 minutes' drive from the hotel.

    La Romana International Airport (LRM) is located around 8 km / 5 mi east of La Romana, around 1 hour 25 minutes' drive from the hotel.

    Las Américas International Airport (SDQ) is located near Santo Domingo to the west, around 2 hours 30 minutes' drive from the hotel.

    Each airport receives regular or seasonal direct flights from various cities across Europe, although Punta Cana Airport is the best served of the three. An alternative for each of the airports is to fly indirect via the US.

ADMINISTRATIVE FORMALITIES

  • Citizens or residents of the UK, European Union, US, Canada, or number of other countries, do not require a visa to enter the Dominican Republic. A Tourist Card will have to be purchased however, either at the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Dominican Republic, or directly at the airport on arrival for $10 (USD) or equivalent.
