  • Velana International Airport (MLE), also known as Malé International Airport, is the main airport serving the Maldives archipelago and is located on Hulhulé Island, next to the capital island Malé.

    A few airlines fly direct from a handful of European cities, such as British Airways seasonal from London Gatwick, Condor year-round from Frankfurt, Austrian Airlines seasonally from Vienna, or Edelweiss Air seasonally from Zurich.

    However, it is far more likely that you will need to take a connecting flight with a changeover for example in Doha with Qatar Airways, Abu Dhabi with Etihad Airways, or Dubai with Emirates. The total amont of flight time is usually around 12 & 14 hours.

TRANSFERS

  • Transfers to and from the airport are mandatory and must be booked with our Customer Service. You must provide them with your international flight details at least 10 days prior to your arrival. Otherwise you risk waiting at the airport and if no transfers are available, you will incur additional accommodation fees on the main island, which are the sole responsibility of the customer.

    By speedboat: 132€ return per adult and 70€ per child.

    Important:
    The Trans Maldivian Airways operate only during the day.
    The last transfer from Malé is at 3:30pm, the first transfer from the hotel is at 8:50am.
    Arrivals in Malé after 3:30pm or departures before 8:50am will incur additional accommodation fees on the main island, which are the sole responsibility of the customer.
