The Gray ***** is located in the heart of Milan's financial and commercial district, between the Duomo di Milano and the Piazza della Scala.
The city is served by three airports: Malpensa International Airport 40 km (25 mi) northwest of the city centre, Linate Airport within the city limits and Bergamo-Orio al Serio Airport (popular with low-cost airlines) around 45 km (27 mi) to the west, near the town of Bergamo.
- From the UK: Direct flights from London are offered by British Airways, EasyJet and Ryanair. Flybe and Ryanair fly from both Birmingham and Manchester. Ryanair also fly from Bristol and Easyjet also fly from Edinburgh.
- From Ireland: Aer Lingus and Ryanair operate direct from Dublin.
- From Germany: Germanwings fly from most cities. Air Berlin, Easyjet and Ryanair fly direct out of Berlin. Air Berlin and Ryanair also fly from Dusseldorf. Both Easyjet and Ryanair fly from Hamburg. Brussels Airlines and Ryanair fly from Frankfurt, and Air Dolomiti from Munich.
- From the Netherlands: Flying from Amsterdam, KLM, Norwegian and Easyjet offer direct flights, while Ryanair fly direct from Eindhoven.
- From Sweden & Norway: SAS and Ryanair fly from both respective capital cities, Stockholm and Oslo.
- From Denmark: SAS and Easyjet fly from Copenhagen. From Finland: Finnair run direct flights from Helsinki.
- From France: Air France, EasyJet and Ryanair operate direct flights from Paris. Air France and Hop! fly out of Lyon. Easyjet fly from Bordeaux and Twin Jet fly seasonally from Toulouse and Marseille.
- Airport transfer: this service is provided by the hotel from MXP Malpensa Airport for 120€ (max. 2 people)
- By taxi: Taxis are available outside the Arrivals of Terminal 1 and 2. The flat-rate fare to Milan city centre (as of 2014) is 90€.
- By public transport: the Malpensa Express runs from the airport to Milano Cadorna station in 35 minutes. It costs 12€ single or 18€ return (6€ or 9€ for children). From there, you can either take the metro line 1 to Duomo M1, or finish your journey with a short taxi-ride to the hotel.
- Tram: There are two tram stations near the hotel, Teatro Alla Scala on line 1, and Plaza Fontana on line 15 and 23.
- Metro: The closes metro station is Metro Duomo served by line 1 (red).
