To sit in the shade on a fine day and look upon verdure is the most perfect refreshment.
Wandering around Cheltenham is like being transported back in time, with its terraces of stuccoed townhouses bordering opulent gardens. The hotel itself stuns, with its ornate columned façade and graceful domed windows looking onto the leafy Imperial Square Gardens.

There’ll be no accusations of indolence here. After all, what are holidays for if not to indulge? And it’s hard not to when there is such feasting to be had. In the Orangery, the Cotswolds cheese platter and local beer brunch are special favourites, while at dinner, Somerset beef steaks and herb-crusted lamb rack are served alongside exotic wontons and gnocchi.
A walk… was necessary to amuse their morning hours and furnish conversation for the evening.
At some point, though, you may want to walk off all that food, and with its many parks, sights and hotchpotch of unique boutiques, Cheltenham delights. The hotel staff are unfailingly polite, eager to share with you their favourite shops and cafés.
