URH Palacio de Oriol **** cuts a striking figure, standing along the stunning Bilbao coastline and is surrounded by lush gardens and palm trees swaying in the breeze. This palace dates back to 1906 and has everything you would want in a romantic getaway, from the beautiful original architecture to the proximity of the white sandy beaches, perfect for sharing a stroll, hand-in-hand, along the azure sea. The interior has been marvellously renovated, creating a sumptuous and intimate space for two, whether in the elegantly-decorated room, or at an indulgent dinner in the traditional on-site restaurant.

BY PLANE

  • Bilbao Airport (BIO) sits about 9km / 5.5mi north of Bilbao and around 22km / 13mi / 22 minutes' drive from the hotel.

    It is a minor international airport, but does receive flights, both year-round and seasonal, from many major European cities, including from the UK.

FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL

  • • Taxi: taxis are found outside the arrivals halls, fares are by the metre depending on distance and time of day, It should take about 10-15 minutes to reach the city centre.

    • Bus: the Bizkaibus shuttle bus service (line A3247) operates to Bilbao Termibus bus station in the city centre. From there, take train service C1 to reach the hotel.
