Altis Suites ★★★★

Hotel luxury in a comfortable private apartment.

By Lizzie Davey, VeryChic correspondent
The enchanting capital of Portugal beckons, with its rustic winding backstreets, grand, café-lined plazas, art galleries galore, and soulful nightlife. Lisbon is a lively city, full of glamorous character with its wide boulevards and busy boutiques; but it is also shy and charming with quaint, pastel houses and rickety tramlines that trail through the city. It is at once old and new, hectic and peaceful, and playful and serious with a captivating, magical undertone that throbs through the city’s distinct Fado bars and the colourful “azulejos” that characterise old alleys and streets. But, I can assure you that underneath all of its mysterious charm, Lisbon is very much cemented in reality, and I had the chance to experience it all from the Altis Suites, my own home away from home.

Chic idea: to make the most of your time in Lisbon, book your tickets in advance for a wide range of activities, here.
