Hotel Casa Elliot ★★★★
Sepulveda 180
08011
Barcelona
Spain
The Hotel Casa Elliot **** is perfectly located just a few minutes' walk from Barcelona town centre, in a relatively quiet street compared to the nearby, always lively streets of the central Ciutat Vella (Old Town).
Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) sits just 12km / 7.5mi southwest of Barcelona city centre.
The airport receives flights from many capitals and major cities across Europe, including across the UK. The airport is a main base for Vueling, and a hub for Iberia, Air Europa, Ryanair, and Norwegian Air Shuttle.
Alternatively, Girona–Costa Brava Airport (GRO) is around 100km / 62mi north of Barcelona, or Reus Airport (REU) is around 100 km (62 mi) southwest of Barcelona.
From Barcelona-El Prat:
• Bus: the Aerobus operates regularly to the city centre, taking about 25-35 minutes. Get off at Plaça de Catalunya in order to reach the hotel. Several public buses are also available.
• Train: trains operate every 30 minutes to the city centre, taking around 25 minutes. If planning to use public transport during the stay, a cost-efficient option is the "T-Casual" ticket, valid for 10 journeys on zone 1 buses and metro, and the airport train. Get off at Passeig de Gracia, from there it is a 10 minute walk or take the metro, line 3 (green) one stop to Catalunya, then line 1 (red) one stop to Universitat.
• Taxi: taxis are found outside all the main terminal exits and operate 24-hours. It should take about 20-30 minutes to reach the city centre.
From Girona-Costa Brava:
• Bus: the Barcelona Bus, run by Sagalés, coincides with Ryanair flight times and takes about 75 minutes to reach to Barcelona Nord bus station. From there, the closest metro is Arc de Triomf (Line 1, Red); it is then three stops to Universitat.
• Car: car rental agencies are available at the airport although it is a good idea to book in advance – renting a car can be a good idea if you have parking in Barcelona, and should take between 1h and 1h30m.
