With its delicately gabled brick houses, baroque buildings, tall belfries, beer culture, bustling university atmosphere, classic art, beautiful architecture and outstanding cuisine, Lille is a wonderful blend of French and Flemish, close to the Belgian border. Far less visited than Paris and Brussels, the city offers a superb weekend getaway, and less than an hour and a half from London. Just around the corner from the bourgeois houses that make up the historic district, Why Hotel offers contemporary elegance, retro décor and superb cuisine.
