The Château des Ducs de Joyeuse ****, in the town of Couiza, is nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees, in the south of France. It is located in the Occitanie region, in the department of Aude, just over an hour drive west of Perpignan and just under an hour drive south of Carcassonne.
PLANE
Carcassonne Airport (CCF) is located 40 minutes' drive to the north of the hotel.
The airport receives a small number of regular and seasonal flights from the UK and Ireland.
Perpignan-Rivesaltes Airport (PGF) is located around 1 hour and 30 minutes' drive to the east of the hotel.
The airport receives regular flights from Paris along with some seasonal flights flights from the UK and Ireland.
More frequent international flights are available to Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS), located around 1 hour and 30 minutes' drive to the northwest of the hotel.
The airport is fairly well-served by flights from elsewhere in France along with a number of capitals cities and other large cities across Europe.
