Bordeaux
France
Bordeaux is served by Bordeaux-Merignac Airport (BOD), which sits around 12 km / 7.5 mi west of the city centre.
It is an international airport which is fairly well-served by flights from elsewhere in France along with a number of capitals cities and other large cities across Europe.
- By taxi: taxis are readily available at the airport and will take around 35 minutes to reach the hotel.
- By bus: the Airport Shuttle runs direct to the Gare Saint-Jean train station in the centre of town. However, we recommend taking the bus number 39 and get off at Gare Pessac Alouette, from there, take tram line B to Cité du Vin tram stop, located by the hotel. The journey will take a little over 1 hour.
The main train station in Bordeaux is the Gare de Bordeaux-Saint-Jean, located in the centre of the city. It is served by regular train services as well as the French high-speed TGV. It is possible to book high-speed trains from the UK with Eurostar and from other neighbouring countries or the rest of France with companies like Thalys and TGVand some other neighbouring countries with the TGV.
It is possible to get to from the station to the hotel by taxi, or by tram line C to Quinconces followed by line B to Cité du Vin.
From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and French bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Local call charges may apply.
