BY PLANE
The main airport serving Rome is Fiumicino – Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (FCO) commonly referred to as Rome Fiumicino Airport. It is located around 35 km / 22 mi southwest of the city centre.
Many airlines operate international flights to this airport, and it receives a large number of flights from capitals and other major cities across Europe. The airport serves as the main hub for Alitalia and also as a second main hub for Vueling Airlines.
Low-cost airlines Ryanair and Wizz Air also operate a number of flights from across Europe into Ciampino–G. B. Pastine International Airport (CIA) also known simply as Rome Ciampino Airport. The airport is located 12 km / 7.5 mi south-southeast of the city centre.
HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORTS TO THE HOTEL
From Rome Fiumincino Airport:
- By taxi: Taxis can be found just outside the airport - make sure to take an official taxi that offers a fixed rate to the city.
- By train/bus: Make you way to Termini Station in the city centre, either by taking the Leonardo Express train for around 14€ (tickets are more expensive on the platform) and taking around 30 minutes, or a Terravision non-stop bus for 6€ single or 11€ return and taking around an hour. From there, it is either a 15 minute walk, a 5 minute taxi ride or 8 minute bus ride (lines 38, 92 or 223 to Goito- Venti Settembre).
From Rome Ciampino Airport:
- By taxi: Taxis can be found just outside the airport - make sure to take an official taxi that offers a fixed rate to the city.
- By bus: There are a number of bus companies that run buses into Termini Station all for around 5€ single. Check at the kiosks in the arrivals building to find the next available bus. Once at Termini Station, it is either a 15 minute walk, a 5 minute taxi ride or 8 minute bus ride (lines 38, 92 or 223 to Goito- Vent) in order to reach the hotel.
