Perched atop Hersonissos, overlooking the Aegean Sea, The Royal & Imperial Belvedere Hotel **** is located on the Greek island of Crete, just a short walk from the seaside. The nearest city is Heraklion, a port city nearly 20km away.

PLANE

  • The main airport in Crete is Heraklion International Airport, “Nikos Kazantzakis” (HER). It sits around 5 km / 3 mi to the east of Heraklion city center, on the northern coast towards the centre of Crete.

    The airport receives flights from a large number of cities across Europe, from a large number of airlines. Most flights are seasonal (mainly during the summer period) and it may be required to may have to fly first via Athens.

    Chania International Airport, "Daskalogiannis" (CHQ), is an international airport, located near on the Akrotiri Peninsula in northwestern Crete, around 14 km / 8.7 mi east of Chania.

    Though less well-served, this airport does receive a large number seasonal flights from cities across Europe, along with year-round flights from Athens, by both Aegean Airlines and Ryanair.

TO THE HOTEL

  • By car: the hotel is about 25 minutes by car from the nearest airport, Heraklion International. Take the VOAK/E75 for around 25km then turn left taking the exit towards Stalida/Hersonissos. Turn left, and after 350m, take another left, before a sharp right. Take a slight left turn then carry on for 400m and the hotel should be straight ahead.
