View all offersEvery island in Greece seems to have its own mythological legend, and Mykonos is no different. Said to have once been the location of an epic battle between titans and gods in which Hercules was the hero, the island takes its name from Mykons, the sun of Apollo. He, clearly, has drawn his bow and shone forth an arrow of light across the entire island.
But these days, people don’t have time for mythology, only the next modern upgrades. Remarkably, Nimbus Mykonos is a hotel that manages to seamlessly blend the traditions of Cycladic culture with more modern offerings. You see in the rooms, an ultra-chic ballad of bleached-white and blue in a sleek design, opening up to a stunning panorama of the Aegean. You can taste it at the hotel restaurant, discovering the sensations of a culinary experience inspired by uniquely Mediterranean flavours, or even the bar where refreshing drinks are curated by a top mixologist to suit your needs.
And yet, it would be remiss to not even mention the stunning environs of the hotel. You can enjoy your traditional meals poolside at a private veranda, with the glowing lights setting a romantic ambiance. But the night doesn’t do the pool’s stunning view justice; a remarkable panorama across the bay looking out towards the expansive Aegean, all from the comfort of a relaxing dip on the rooftop.
A pristine white radiates from every iota of Nimbus Mykonos, a blue that dances from the sky and sea, creeping into gracefully breathe colour into every room. This is a typically stylish Myconian retreat, an ode to the island’s grace, both past and present.
