Set in a privileged location, on the east coast of Mallorca, the Alua Calas de Mallorca Resort **** is a dream holiday destination. Boasting five pools, a verdant garden, playground, fitness centre and 24-hour reception, you have everything you need for an adventure-packed, all-inclusive vacation. From our spacious, simple and pristine white Double Sea Room, we marvelled at the never-ending sea before us, a blend of turquoise, baby and royal blue hues. Boats whizzed above the water, sending a rippling of waves towards the shore.
Sit back and relax at one of the hotel’s invigorating outdoor pools with vistas of the Balearic Sea. The hotel boasts a new wooden sun deck, dotted with comfortable sunbeds and shades to give you a break from the baking hot Mediterranean sun. Throughout the day and night, there is an overabundance of activities for kids and adults from water sports to Latino dancing. The Astro Kids Club is fantastic for the little ones, the vibrant animation team organising face painting, mini-discos and sports activities.
There are numerous beaches nearby, such as Cala Antena, just 100 metres away or less than a kilometre away is Cala Domingos Gran Beach. We visited The Drach Caves, an enchanting experience, as you walk through the dark, dimly lit and cold underground chambers of stalactites and stalagmites. The tour ends with a boat ride across the underground lake and a little classical music concert.
Dinner is served at the Terra Café Buffet, where you can find a selection of Spanish and international dishes carefully made with fresh, natural ingredients. Your restful resort is also home to four bars, perfect if you’re peckish or want a refreshing cocktail to sip while sojourning by the pool. All-in-all, a terrific resort and location, you won’t ever get bored!
