Current situation:
• A health declaration must be presented, stating you neither have symptoms, nor have been in recent contact with a confirmed Covid case.
• If vaccinated: certificates are valid 7 days after the 2nd dose of Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca vaccines, or 4 weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson (or 7 days for those who have also previously recovered from Covid).
• If unvaccinated: when arriving from an EU or other green list country, then a negative PCR or antigen test taken within 72 hours of arrival must be presented (or 24 hours from Cyprus, Greece, Malta, Spain, Netherlands or Portugal). When arriving from an orange list country, a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours or antigen test witih 48 hours must be presented. When arriving from the United Kingdom, the PCR or antigen test must be taken within 24 hours.
• Note: as an alternative to a negative covid test, proof of recovery from Covid at least 11 days old and within the last 6 months may be presented.

The Refuge du Montenvers is nestled at 1913 metres of altitude in the French Alps, at the foot of the famous Mer de Glace, in the Mont-Blanc mountain chain. Chamonix is located 30 minutes away and is accessible by train only.

TRANSPORT

TRAIN

  • Gare de Chamonix is located 7km from the hotel. The train is the only way of reaching the hotel and is included in the VeryChic offer. The last train of the day departs for the Refuge at 4pm, so be sure to arrive before.

  • VeryFlexible: cancellation and refund available up to 7 days before your arrival, to the same card used when booking (the booking fee is retained, and for all bookings of more than 500€, an additional processing fee of 50€ will be retained)
  • Important note: the Refuge is only accessible by the train from Montenvers, be sure to plan your arrival before 4pm (as the last departure of the day is at 4pm)
  • Local tourist taxes not included in the VeryChic prices: 4€ per person, per night (to be paid directly to the hotel)
