James New York - NoMadv **** is situated just a 4 minutes walk from the Empire State Building and from Madison Square Garden, where you can savour the popular burgers, and 15 minutes from Times Square.

ADMINISTRATIVE FORMALITIES

  • A passport which is valid for at least 6 months after your scheduled return date is required.

    Citizens of most European countries, including the United Kingdom, are eligible to enter the United States for business or tourism, under the Visa Waiver Program. In this case, you must apply for the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) prior to boarding your flight to the United States. For more information, or to apply for your ESTA, please visit the official ESTA website.

    It is recommended to apply at least 72 hours prior to travel. The ESTA is valid for up to two years and allows for multiple entries of up to 90 days each into the United States (if you receive a new passport during the two-year period, you will have to reapply for your ESTA).

BY PLANE

  • New York is currently served by two main international airports. Between them they receive international flights from around the world, including major cities across the UK and the rest of Europe.

    • John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) sits about 12mi / 20km southeast of Lower Manhattan.
    • Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) sits about 15mi / 24km southwest of Midtown Manhattan, in New Jersey.

    From John F. Kennedy Airport:
    • Taxi: be sure to take a licensed taxi from the designated rank, it can be an expensive option including any tolls on the way, and a 15% tip.
    • Train: take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station, then the bus to Lexington Av/53 St, and then train from 51 St to 28 St.

    From Newark Liberty Airport:
    • Train: take the AirTrain to Newark Airport Railroad Station, from there, take the Northeast Corrdior train to Pennsylvania Station, where you can take the bus from W 34 St/8 Av to E 34 St/5 Av.

  • Health & travel rules for the USA:
