We entered our cosy Mountain Alpine room, an elegant blend of creams and warm pine wooden interiors. Inside, beautiful bathrobes made us feel snug, as we peered out at the tall pine forest from the window to our new home. Our double bed, a plush mattress with crispy clean white linen was heaven to sink into after a day of walking. Alpine planks fitted neatly above the bed to create a stunning mural characteristic of our natural surroundings. The bathroom was spacious, with a walk-in shower, soaps and gels.

If you stay at the hotel, while you won’t have your own private hot tub like that of the neighbouring lodges, the Flor di Loto wellness centre is a dazzling space, with an 80 square metre indoor pool and heated outdoor pool, boasting panoramic views of the Dolomites. The sauna area is an opulent paradise, with ample room, delicately designed tiled floors, and a purifying Turkish bath.

Rent your snowshoes for free from the hotel during the winter months to trek through the sludge and snow, or there are plenty more activities to choose from, like rafting, cycling and visiting wildlife. We rafted down the 28km of the Noce River, one for the adrenaline junkies, of course accompanied by a professional! If you have the little ones with you and want to get close to wildlife like deer and roe deer, then Peio Fonti wildlife area is easily reachable.
