Every morning we woke to our bright and spacious Superior Suite of modern design and started the day with a pleasant cup of coffee on our furnished terrace. We made our way to the elegant Gran Caribe for breakfast, the main buffet restaurant boasting a wood-fired pizza oven and show cooking area. For lunch and dinner, you are spoilt for choice, with Bloved a la carte restaurant where you can enjoy picturesque views of the sea, Ayami for oriental cuisine on Teppanyaki tables and many more, serving Catalan, Italian and of course, Mexican cuisine.
After breakfast, we made the most of the resort’s vast outdoor pools with views of the Caribbean in the distance. The resort is amazing for organising activities for both adults and kids with water polo, beach volleyball, table tennis and aqua aerobics all available. We thoroughly enjoyed the snorkelling equipment provided and a free introductory scuba diving class. The spa was a magnificent abode, with sauna, rejuvenising massages and an infinity pool looking out onto the ocean. You can feel the sea breeze, all the while tucked away in the warmth of the infinity pool.
The hotel happily organises excursions to Isla Mujeres and Isla Holbox throughout the day. You can zip line and kayak along Garrafon Reef Park on Isla Mujeres (or women’s island) and appreciate the laid-back vibe and scenic beaches of Holbox island. Rent a car if you wish to explore Cancun and its various treasures. On some nights, you can enjoy live music at the hotel and a cocktail on the wooden decking of the beach bar. A truly outstanding stay, that the animation team made even more memorable.

ADMINISTRATIVE FORMALITIES
Citizens of UK or European Union countries do not require a visa to enter Mexico for up to 180 days.
An immigration form must be completed and shown when entering/leaving Mexico. It is available on board flights to Mexico, or online in advance.
A passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended date of entry to Mexico is also required. It may also be required to show proof of your departure plans.
Note: if flying indirect via another country, be sure to check the requirements for that country. For instance, if flying via the United States it is necessary to apply for the ESTA Visa / Waiver Program in order to transit through the US.
BY PLANE
Cancún International Airport (CUN) sits around 15 km / 9 mi south of Cancun, and around 38 km / 23.6 mi (38 minutes') drive from the hotel.
The airport is fairly well served internationally, and receives a number of direct flights from major cities/capitals across Europe, including from the UK. Alternatively, indirect options include flying via the USA, or elsewhere in Mexico.
