From the outside, the Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana resembles a Barbie doll house, with glittering turquoise balconies and light blue painted rooftops. We thoroughly enjoyed our branded flip-flops and refreshments when we checked in, before touring the vastness of the resort grounds.

Our Swim up luxury Junior Suite was a tropical haven, on the ground level, with direct views of the sea and the resort. The room was beautifully decorated, turquoise green painted the walls, while the light wooden furniture and headboard; painted with the faint brushstrokes of white leaves and palms, all made us feel very much like we were in a beach house. The bathroom was huge, with an impressive stand-alone tub, ideal to unwind after a day of sunrise yoga, kayaking and zip lining in Scape Park. Most of all we loved that we had access to our own pool, not to mention the swim-up service where drinks and snacks could be brought to us directly.

Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana is brimming with signature activities you won’t find anywhere else, from paddle boarding competitions to cornhole tournaments, where the winner takes away a fun prize, to the signature flip-flop Olympics - a bunch of wild games including a flip-flop toss and even flip-pong!
