Ideally located on Calle de la Princesa, in the elegant and traditional district of Arguelles, Hotel Princesa Plaza Madrid is nestled among bustling streets, boasting shops, culinary delights and leisure activities. Since its opening in 1976, the hotel is renowned for its personalized service and exceptional facilities. Spacious, glowing rooms, the largest sports facility of any hotel in the city and a charming terrace to have your morning coffee awaits! Accessing Madrid’s hot spots is easy with the metro right by the hotel, plus The Museum of Contemporary Art and Galileo Theatre are within walking distance.
Light filled every corner of our spacious room, a classic and comfortable space, featuring a remarkable headboard, a replica of one of Prado Museum’s most representative works of art. On one of top floors, you can look out over the city for miles, to the stunning Sierra de Guadarrama National Park to the west and the city to the east. Enjoy a cup of coffee on your cushy sofa, blackout curtains for undisturbed sleep, and all the modern amenities you could need for an enjoyable cityscape.
Breakfast was served in the bright and pleasant Salon Moncloa, while The Coffee Shop offers a lovely outdoor terrace, serving tasty tapas and lunch and dinner menus. We chose to have our welcome drink in Bar Royal, a very sleek cocktail bar that extends to the terrace. Surround yourself with slender palms, lush greenery, a cherry plum, and the sweet aroma of jasmine. Madrid enjoys good weather most of the year, so take advantage of the Spanish sun from the hotel’s cosy outdoors.
We were also lucky to have access to the largest indoor hotel sports facility in the city! A sprawling pool and roomy gym with a line of treadmills met us as we opened the doors, water bottle and towel in hand. There are over 150 activities every week that you can join into, from self-defence classes to spinning and aerobics.
There’s nothing like a stay at the Hotel Princesa Plaza Madrid, with its exceptional facilities, chic décor, hospitality and location. Whether you want to admire the city from a stroll along the famed Temple of Debod, walk among antique paintings at the Cerralbo Museum nearby or venture into the hub of the city, you can do it easily from the hotel’s convenient location.
