Venice, the capital of northern Italy’s Veneto region, built over 100 small islands in the Adriatic Sea, with no roads, just canals, welcomes you to a comfortable and tranquil setting at Combo Venezia. Combo Venezia is a restored convent with an expansive courtyard, dotted with trees and featuring a cushy sheltered outdoor seating area that looks beyond the stone and marble arches. The historic building mixes modern décor with antique architecture, and lies just a few steps from Rialto, the centre of Venice, and a lively fish market.

BY PLANE

  • Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE), is located on the Italian mainland around 8 km / 5 mi north of Venice.

    The airport is well served, and receives flights from many capitals and other major cities across Europe.

FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL

  • • Bus: the no.5 Aerobus, departs every 15 minutres to Piazzale Roma terminal in the city centre, taking around 30 to 45 minutes, while the pricier ATVO blue bus does the journey in just 20 minutes.

    • Water bus: the Alilaguna water buses (vaporettos) operate to several places in Venice including Piazza San Marco.

    • Water taxi: water taxis are a very very expensive option, but can fit a maximum of ten people and can be worthwhile if sharing the cost.
