BY PLANE

  • Ponta Delgada - João Paulo II Airport (PDL), sits about 2km / 1.2mi west of Ponta Delgada city centre, on the island of São Miguel. It is around 7km / 4mi (8 minutes') drive from the hotel.

    The airport is both the main and busiest in the Azores. It has scheduled domestic flights between all islands of the Azores, along with Madeira and the Portuguese mainland. The airport does also receives direct flights, regular and seasonal, from a number of major cities across Europe, including the UK.

TO THE HOTEL

  • • Shuttle bus: the ANC Aerobus is a shuttle service which operates to the city of Ponta Delgada.

    • Taxi: located outside the arrivals terminal, the taxis are not metered and have a fixed price and can be cheaper than booking an airport transfer.

    • Car: several car rental agencies are available at the airport but it is a good idea to book your car in advance.
