W Muscat ★★★★★

Located on the beachfront, facing Qurum beach, W Muscat deserves all its five stars. A rich, modern, beautifully designed hotel, esteemed guests will feel pampered from the moment they waltz in. Outside, a vast pool of sky-blue water is lined with cabanas, while lush greenery envelopes around. The décor is as lavish and colourful throughout the establishment, with rooms being equally as plush.

In our Fabulous Room, beautiful, bright colours married with more warm and neutral tones. Behind the bed, a gorgeous blue and lilac mural brought the space to life. The soft, fluffy carpet was a canvas of intricate designs, just like the modern sofa. The bed was spacious and from it, we could admire the sandy stretch of beach from our little balcony and listen to the gentle crash of waves as we opened the door, flooding the room with natural light, and crispy clean sea air.

With a choice of five restaurants, dining is quite the experience at the W Muscat. Ba Ban takes you on a culinary tour of Shanghai, Char serves succulent steaks and grills, while Harvest merges organic and seasonal ingredients. Inspired by the Bimmah Sinkhole, a water-filled natural wonder in Oman, the WET Deck is incredible, decorated with floor-to-ceiling mirrors that give the illusion of being immersed in the sea. At WET, live DJ performances by the pool will keep you buzzing, with awe-inspiring views of the ocean. We dressed up smartly and made our way to the elegant open air Siddharta Lounge, where the sunset was simply remarkable.
