ADMINISTRATIVE FORMALITIES

BY PLANE

  • New York is currently served by two main international airports. Between them they receive international flights from around the world, including major cities across the UK and the rest of Europe.

    • John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) sits about 12mi / 20km southeast of Lower Manhattan.
    • Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) sits about 15mi / 24km southwest of Midtown Manhattan, in New Jersey.

    From John F. Kennedy Airport:
    • Taxi: be sure to take a licensed taxi from the designated rank, factor in tolls and a 15% tip.
    • Train: take the AirTrain to Howard beach, then the A metro to Fulton Street.
    • Bus: from NYC Port Authority bus terminal, take the Line 149 bus to Trinity Pl north of Cedar ST.

    From Newark Liberty Airport:
    • Train: take the AirTrain to Newark Airport Railroad Station, followed by a train to Newark Pennsylvania Station, then a PATH train to World Trade Center in Manhattan.
