Koh I Nor ★★★★★

A jewel in Val Thorens’ snow-capped crown

By Joanne Leitch, VeryChic correspondent
Welcome to the Koh-I-Nor *****, the last word in five-star luxury skiing. Meaning ‘mountain of light’ in Persian, it’s a reference to a 105.6-carat diamond that originated in India, and is now mounted in a crown belonging to the British Royal family.  It takes some audacity to name your establishment after such an iconic symbol of luxury and expense, but at the summit of the highest ski resort in Europe, this brand new hotel will have you on cloud nine.
