The Koh I Nor ***** sits in the heart of the Val Thorens ski resort, which in turn is situated in the Tarentaise Valley, high up in the Frence Alps. The resort forms part of the 3 vallées linked ski area.
Geneva Intenational Airport (GVA) is located 4 km / 2.5 mi northwest of Geneva city centre, and is around 2 hours and 40 minutes drive northwest of the hotel. The airport is very well-served internationally with flights from most captials across Europe and other large European cities, and is better served in regard to transport to and from the resort.
Otherwise, Lyon–Saint Exupéry Airport (LYS) is located around 20 km / 13 mi east-southeast of Lyon city centre, and around 2 hours and 30 minutes drive to the west of the hotel. It is fairly well-served internationally and receives flights from a number of capitals and other large cities across Europe.
- By car: Follow directions for France on the Swiss motorway until customs at Bardonnex. After crossing the border, follow directions for Annecy along the A41 motorway. Continue along the A41 motorway towards Chambéry. Once there exit for the A43 towards Albertville. Continue following the A43 to Albertville which will lead onto the N90. Continue along the N90 and start following the direction of Moûtiers. Take exit 40 towards Val Thorens. Keep following the direction of Val Thorens, once there follow the Grande Rue through and straight onto the Rue de Gebroulaz, the hotel will be on your left.
Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe, at an altitude of 2300m. The resort forms part of the 3 Vallées linked ski area, which is the largest linked ski area in the world. The next scheduled opening is from the 22nd November 2014 to 10th May 2015.
