PLANE
Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE), is located on the Italian mainland around 8 km / 5 mi north of Venice.
The airport is well served, and receives flights from many capitals and other major cities across Europe.
FROM THE AIRPORT
• Transfer: an airport transfer service is available to book directly with the hotel, for an extra charge, from and back to Venise-Marco Polo Airport (for 1 to 8 people) - for an extra charge
• Bus: the no.5 Aerobus, departs every 15 minutres to Piazzale Roma terminal in the city centre, taking around 30 to 45 minutes, while the pricier ATVO blue bus does the journey in just 20 minutes.
• Water bus: the Alilaguna water buses (vaporettos) operate to several places in Venice including Piazza San Marco.
• Water taxi: water taxis are a very very expensive option, but can fit a maximum of ten people and can be worthwhile if sharing the cost.
