Located on the lower edge of the northern region of Thailand, the Sukhothai Heritage Resort is twenty kilometres from the city of Sukhothai.
There are two daily flights from Bangkok to Sukhothai which is just five minutes from the resort. Flights to Bangkok International Airport are listed below:
- From the UK: British Airways, EVA Air and Thai Airways all fly from London-Heathrow.
- From The Netherlands: China Air, EVA Air and KLM fly from Amsterdam.
- From Germany: Lufthansa and Thai Airways fly from Frankfurt. Thai Airways also flies from Munich.
- From Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden: Finnair fly from Helsinki. Norwegian Air Shuttle fly from Copenhagen, Oslo-Gardermoen, and Stockholm-Arlanda. Thai Airways fly from Copenhagen, Oslo-Gardermoen, and Stockholm-Arlanda.
- From France: Air France and Thai Airways both fly from Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
By transfer: The resort offers a free shuttle service from Sukhothai Airport (2 daily flights from Bangkok).
By car: From Bangkok, take motorway number 1 (AH1) towards Nakorn Sawan (235 km). Turn right onto route 117 (AH 13) towards Pichit/Pisanuloke (113 km) then take a slight left towards route 12 (AH 16) towards Sukhothai (8km). Keep right at the fork and the motorway will merge onto route 125. Continue on route 125 (50 km) then turn right onto route 1195 (20 km). Turn left towards Sukhothai Airport and the resort is less than a five minute drive from there. Grid reference: 15.008600, 100.955702.
By train: There is a daily train from Bangkok (Hua lum pong) Station at 10:50am which arrives at Sawankhalok at 5:40 pm. From there, a transfer to the resort can be arranged. The train will cost around 430 – 700 THB (10€ - 18€).
From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and French bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
