- From the UK: British Airways, EasyJet and seasonally Monarch all operate direct flights out of London. EasyJet also fly direct from Bristol, Manchester and Edinburgh, and seasonally from Birmingham, Glasgow and Belfast.
- From Ireland: Aer Lingus operate direct flights from Dublin and Ryanair fly seasonally from Cork.
- From Germany: Easyjet fly direct from Berlin, Monarch fly direct from Frankfurt and Munich, while Germanwings fly from Hamburg and Dusseldorf.
- From the Netherlands: KLM and Easyjet both provide direct flights out of Amsterdam and Transavia fly seasonally from Rotterdam.
- From Sweden & Denmark: SAS, Swiss International, EasyJet and (seasonally) Norwegian all fly direct from the respective capital cities, Stockholm and Copenhagen.
- From Norway: Norwegian and Swiss International fly out of Oslo. From Finland: Finnair and (seasonally) Scandinavian Airlines and TUIfly operate flights from Helsinki.
- From France: Air France and Easyjet operate flights from Paris. Easyjet also fly from Bordeaux, Toulouse and Nice. Twin Jet fly from Marseille.
- By car: Follow directions for France on the Swiss motorway until customs at Bardonnex. After crossing the border, follow directions for Annecy along the A41 motorway. Continue along the A41 motorway towards Chambéry. Once there exit for the A43 towards Albertville. Continue following the A43 to Albertville which will lead onto the N90. Continue along the N90 and start following the direction of Moûtiers. Take exit 40 towards Val Thorens. Keep following the direction of Val Thorens, once there follow the Grande Rue through and straight onto the Rue de Gebroulaz, the hotel will be on your left.
The closest train station is that of Moutiers and the closest TGV station is that of Chambéry. It is therefore possible to take high-speed train services (such as TGV, Eurostar & Thalys) to Chambéry, and then change for regular train services to Moutiers.
Once in Moutiers, bus transfers and taxis are available to Val Thorens.
Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe, at an altitude of 2300m. The resort forms part of the 3 Vallées linked ski area, which is the largest linked ski area in the world. The next scheduled opening is from the 22nd November 2014 to 10th May 2015.
