It’s obvious from the moment you arrive at The Goodtime Hotel, that the concept here has been fully thought out. And that concept is quite simply: fun, happiness…good times. The design draws from the neighbourhood’s famous Art Deco elements, while remaining resolutely modern and devoid of kitsch. It brings in recognisable patterns and perfectly paired pastel colours, while ensuring a clean, contemporary look. They haven’t shied away from silliness though, hoping that certain elements will bring out childhood memories and enjoyment in guests.

In rooms, for example, cheeky touches include custom draperies featuring whimsically drawn faces by Fulk; rotary phones in the thematic shades of candy pink and green; leopard-print bathrobes that guests are encouraged to wear outside the rooms. In the hallways, lattice-print carpets even feature mock wet footprints to recall those happy, youthful days of trailing the beach back home with you.

In the spirit of fun and laughter, plenty of sociable, communal areas are on offer no matter what mood you may be in.
