ADMINISTRATIVE FORMALITIES

  • Citizens of most European countries, including the UK, will be granted a visa upon arrival at UAE airports.

    To enter the United Arab Emirate, it is mandatory to have a passport which is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in the UAE, along with proof of return or onward travel out of the UAE.

BY PLANE

  • Dubai International Airport (DXB) sits about 4.6km / 2.9mi northeast of Dubai city centre. The airport welcomes many international flights, including from most capitals and other large cities across the UK and the rest of Europe, and serves as the main base for Emirates airlines.

    To the hotel:

    • Metro: the metro operates from Airport Terminal 3 to Burj Khalifa, taking around 19 minutes.

    • Taxi: a taxi into the city centre should take around 10-15 minutes.

  • Health & travel rules for Dubai:
    As of November 2022 most Covid-19 related restrictions/requirements have been lifted, however, we recommend checking the Visit Dubai website, or UAE Government Portal, to see the most up-to-date information.
  • 3 nights minimum stay
  • 5% VAT, 10% municipal tax and 10% service charge included
  • Local tourist taxes of 15 AED (around €4) per night, per room to be paid on site
  • For all departures in 50 days or more, the remaining balance will be automatically debited 45 days prior to departure
  • Rates are valid exclusively for guests resident in Europe. Otherwise the hotel’s public rate will apply
  • Ramadan: Ramadan runs from 10 March to 9 April. There are no Ramadan-related restrictions for tourists. Restaurants are open during the day, and it is possible to consume alcohol, as it is during the rest of the year (in the evening, however, it is agreed to wait for the Iftar before consuming it). The vast majority of tourist attractions will be open during Ramadan and crowds may be reduced. Cultural institutions and attractions may open 1 hour later in the morning and close 1 hour later in the evening. This is your chance to discover the United Arab Emirates during a season when temperatures and prices are mild!
