Beaches and coves, Mediterranean sunshine, vineyards and wine, historic buildings, and plenty of outdoor activities. Welcome to Banyuls-sur-Mer, an inviting holiday destination that is tempting all year round. Just north of the Spanish border, the French seaside town boasts a beautiful wild coastline known as the Côte Vermaille, or Vermillion Coast. And unlike its more well-known neighbours further along the south coast, it is off the main tourist trail which means you can relax and explore the area with less crowds.
