The Pierre, A Taj Hotel, New York *****, built in the 1920s, is a landmark on Fifth Avenue, at the bottom right-hand corner of Central Park. The hotel is in the affluent Upper East Side area, close to the border with Midtown Manhattan, and enjoys magnificent views of the park and midtown city skyline.
A passport which is valid for at least 6 months after your scheduled return date is required.

New York is currently served by two main international airports. Between them they receive international flights from around the world, including major cities across the UK and the rest of Europe.
Taxis are readily available from both airports, prices and journey time can vary greatly according to traffic conditions. Remember to factor in a 15% tip to the cost.
From John F. Kennedy Airport:
• Take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station, followed by the subway E train to Queens Plaza, then an R train to 5 Av/59 St station, just next to the hotel.
From Newark Liberty Airport:
• Train: take the AirTrain to Newark Airport Railroad Station, followed by an NJCL or NEC train to New York Penn Station. It is a short walk to 34 St-Herald Sq subway station, from which both the R and N trains operate to 5 Av/59 St station, just next to the hotel.
From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and French bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
